The Shieling is an attractive ground floor apartment within a spacious detached villa that sits on the sea front of Lochranza on the Scottish Isle of Arran. The apartment has a secluded south facing garden which red squirrels frequently visit and a back gate that leads directly onto the hill where golden eagles can be spotted soaring above you. It is the ideal spot for relaxing in the evening and watching the world that Arran has to offer There are panoramic views from the front of the apartment over Kintyre and Loch Fyne, and plenty of country walks available right outside your door. The surrounding hills and shoreline are a haven for wildlife with red deer, otters, seals, oyster catchers and swans being some of the more regular inhabitants. During the summer months, the Lochranza-Claonaig ferry leaves from the slipway just across the road. On Sundays it is also possible to take a short cruise on the famous Waverley Paddle Steamer. One of the most picturesque villages on the island, Lochranza also boasts a golf course, the island distillery and visitor centre as well as the ancient ruins of Lochranza Castle.


The Shieling has a large lounge with sea views that is comfortable and tastefully decorated a large fully equipped kitchen ideal for self catering holidays that have a dining area within, and a bathroom with a separate bath and shower. There are three bedrooms, one double and two single that are all cosy pleasant welcoming rooms and though The Shieling is attached to the owner’s home, they will ensure your complete comfort and privacy.
